Phone Hacking Getting Easy – How to be Safe?

Technology is a boon as well as a bane. With increasing consumer awareness towards technology, it has become easier for the consumers to embrace the technical aspect of their devices and meddle with it. New age cell phones have developed quite a lot and they are extremely easy to handle. On the same front cell phone hacking has also become increasingly easy for various consumers. This can be a direct threat to everyone’s privacy.

Three Basic Phone Hacking Methods

The idea behind hacking a phone is obviously to get information regarding the conversations that the owner of the phone has over the phone. Now, hackers can hack in to the cell phone to get through to a live conversation. The might do it while you are still on the phone talking. Again, another popular cell phone hacking method is to get in to a person’s voicemail, which has stored voice messages and vital information.
1. Live Mobile Phone Hacking
Hacking in to a live mobile phone conversation is doubly hard for the hacker because they have to be extra careful to not let the people involved in the conversation detect the hacking. The hackers have to either get through to the service provider for your cell phones or they have to actually have an inside person in the cell phone service company to help them get in on live conversations. Seeing as this is a more complicated process, the chances of detection in this case is quite high.
2. Hacking Mobile Phones’ Voicemail
This method is relatively far too easy. Most voicemails have four digit passwords that are very simple to obtain. There are some really simple software programs available in the market with which any consumer can very easily crack the voicemail security password for any cell phone in the world.
3.Spyware

Then there is the commercial software, known as spyware, which can be used to breach the privacy of some unsuspecting user. You can be tricked into downloading the spyware directly, or you can be fraudulently lured to a website that automatically inserts the code into your device. Spyware that can take copies of everything stored in the smartphone, log its location or even switch on its components, is easily available. The owner of the infected handset doesn’t even know that his own device is being used to spy on him. There is no dearth of games that have spyware buried inside them, and are capable of gathering more information than they should.
It is indeed a fact that while mobile phones and tablets have brought lot of ease to our lives, they have also made it easy for our privacy and security to be compromised. We do need to keep lot of information at our fingertips, but we should also take some necessary precautions. The PINs and the passwords must be changed regularly. And as much as possible, you should avoid downloading all kinds of free games and others apps from little known vendors.
4.Bluetooth :

Bluetooth hacks are categorized broadly among
1.Bluejacking
2.Bluesnarfing
3.Bluebugging
4.Bluetoothing

The Big Question – How to Avoid Mobile Phone Hacking

You have to understand that the hackers will target your security password first. You cannot expect to have simplistic or predictable password codes and still be 100% secure. Try choosing passwords that are quite unrelated to your person and random. Do not fall for simple scams where they ask you for personal information with claims of you winning some big amount. Remember, if it is too good to be true, then it probably is an illusion. Do not divulge personal information on websites or via text messages to unknown numbers.
However, your privacy is not the only thing that gets challenged by a phone hacking. Sometimes it can create confusion and miscommunication.

2013 Ford Taurus Adds More Affordable Technology

Ford’s updating their Taurus for the 2013 model year to deliver even more refinement, efficiency and style than ever. More technology, improved craftsmanship and advanced driving dynamics are on board for the ride, too.

“We have significantly upgraded Ford’s flagship sedan through obsessive attention to detail,” said Mark Fields, Ford’s president of The Americas. “The new Taurus builds on the transformation we achieved in the 2010 model. Delivering so many upgrades so soon further underscores Ford’s leadership and commitment to delivering high-quality, fuel-efficient cars for our customers.”

Fuel efficient? You read that right. Notable in the 2013 Taurus’s updates is the addition of a new 2.0L EcoBoost engine that employs turbocharging and direct-injection technology to turn out about 240 horsepower alongside fantastic mileage figures.

The standard 3.5L V6 should generate about 290 horsepower, and has now been fitted with Ford’s slick Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing (TI-VCT) technology for even better emissions and mileage performance.

Smart battery management, deceleration fuel shutoff and electric power steering help trim away at fuel consumption as well. A six-speed automatic transmission with engine-specific gear ratio selection will be standard.

Derrick Kuzak, the automaker's group vice president of global product development, said the styling tweaks were wholly influenced by the new Audi A6. Sure, the new front fascia and LED square around the taillamps are total Audi knock-offs, but what's important to learn from this is that Ford is using the A6 as its target for the Taurus, and with a host of updates for the 2013 model year, Ford's flagship gets one step closer to being an Audi alternative.
Look for Ford’s MyTouch interface, advanced SYNC functionality and park assist technology as part of the package, too. A new heated steering wheel, multi-contour Active Motion seats, rain-sensing wipers and a rearview camera will also be on board.

Exterior styling tweaks include a more muscular hood, larger wheels and tires as well as revised rear quarter panels that enable the use of larger taillamps. Ford says that without altering overall dimensions, they’ve made the 2013 Taurus look more streamlined and sporty.

Class-leading safety features can also be expected, including a new ‘Curve Control’ system, which can automatically slow the vehicle if drivers enter a corner too quickly. As on the current model, adaptive cruise control, electronic stability control, blind-spot monitoring and collision warning with brake support will also be available.

By offering plenty of selection alongside the various 2013 updates, Ford’s working to ensure there’s a Taurus just right for any shopper. Heated leather seating and all-wheel drive further the model’s appeal to drivers in northern climates.

The twin-turbocharged Taurus SHO receives numerous updates for 2013 as well, including larger brakes, a specially-calibrated steering system and an enhanced heavy-duty cooling system.

The hardware upgrades are backed by numerous cosmetic tweaks, including a new grille, unique wheels and revised badging.

“The Taurus SHO has always followed the original formula of stealthy sleeper, and the new model is no exception,” said Gordon Platto, chief designer. “We wanted to keep the subtle, understated, yet sporty elegance, but at the same time we knew it was time to even more fully differentiate the Super High Output model from other Taurus series models.”

The performance Taurus benefits from the same interior and exterior tweaks as the standard model, and features a generous complement of advanced technologies as standard, too.
The first 2013 Taurus models should arrive in Ford dealerships in the spring of 2012.
Pricing will be announced closer to the car's on-sale date in early 2012, and while the 2013 Taurus might not be a perfect competitor to Audi's A6, it's sure to offer similar content (and style) at a much lower price-point.

Need for Speed-The Run

It’s called The Run. An illicit, high-stakes race across the country. The only way to get your life back is to be the first from San Francisco to New York.
No speed limits. No rules. No allies. All you have are your driving skills and sheer determination as you battle hundreds of the world’s most notorious drivers on the country’s most dangerous roads.
In Need for Speed The Run, you’ll weave through dense urban centers, rocket down icy mountain passes and navigate narrow canyons at breakneck speeds, all the while evading a relentless police force prepared – and willing – to use lethal force to take you down.
“The Run” has been the topic of lots of criticism, but after three demo sessions from EA Black Box, I am maybe not prepared to count this game out before its gotten started – and here are a couple notes about why you should not, either.
Need For Speed The Run
Even EA Black Box has admitted in my experience that focusing their teaser footage round the on-foot, Quick Time Event portions for the following Requirement for Speed was most likely not the very best move for his or her E3 keynote.
Regardless, it got people speaking about the overall game, even though most the conversation involved the title being truly an Importance of Speed game enabling you to, well, maybe not drive. But predicated on what I have seen, the “running” part of the gameplay is actually overstated.
When I asked EA to inform me outright just how much of the overall game involved on-foot action segments, they said “less than 10%” and assured me that the large most of the overall game still centered on the racing. If any such thing, the on-foot segments are meant to provide you with a breather from the tracks. And I am perfectly fine with that. So far as the quantity of actual on-foot sections, they are probably telling me the facts, because I have not seen just one QTE bit in virtually any of our in-office demos. At this time, it appears as though “The Run” mostly describes the game’s illegal cross-country race above all else.
Honestly, I have always thought that the Need of Speed: The Run series has already established one of the more consistently good driving engines for quite some time. That hasn’t changed with Need of Speed: The Run, that has in regards to a five-minute learning curve. Obviously, the overall game throws a lot of obstacles at you; however the track design and mechanics still feel very fun.
Importance of Speed: Most Wanted happens to be my personal favorite guilty pleasure, because of over-dramatic actors and entertainingly cliché street racing plots. But with NFS: The Run, I like the way in which that race types are woven to the story. Brief recap — Jack, the primary character, owes a great deal of bad people money, and is racing against 100 other drivers to obtain the $25 million cash prize.
Need For Speed The Run
While the story goes from Bay area to NY, you will need to race in various scenarios with respect to the plot. In a single case, I had race one-on-one via an avalanche the Colorado Rocky Mountains to ensure that Jack wouldn’t fall behind a rival racer (who apparently had a death wish). In other cases, the mission types change because a number of plot points Jack needs to abandon his car, climate conditions force him to play survivalist against a pack of other drivers, or police chases turn a period trail in to an obstacle course.
Importance of Speed titles have not been walks through the park since Most Wanted hit consoles, so that as I have learned the hard way, The Run isn’t afraid to show your vehicle right into a smashed-up pancake.
Even the preview crew has trouble getting through races unscathed, as a five-minute course would usually just take us about five do-overs in half-an-hour. Still, Need For Speed: The Run rewind mechanic never feels as though a cop-out, since you will crash in the course of time, and some time you will not even understand it’s coming. Just take the avalanche in the Rockies, for instance.

While I broadly speaking prefer to utilize a hood-level camera, in environment-related action scenes it’s advantageous to utilize a wider viewing angle. And despite how vigilantly I’d be driving, I’d get flattened by an errant boulder more often than once. You need to give consideration throughout the races, and dealing with used to the handling on different cars can occasionally throw you off.
Having Battlefield 3′s Frostbyte 2 Engine underneath the Hood Creates Some Impressive Scenery.
Visually, Need For Speed: The Run has a few of the most impressive environments and tracks I have observed in the series yet, and the Frostbyte 2 graphics are investing in their work. Some things are subtle, such as the impressive horizon and back ground scenery, while other activities such as the frame rate maintain a smooth experience regardless of how crowded a race gets. We’ve more or less hit the ceiling on realism in racing games, but that one keeps things interesting to check out.

Apple Store App with Personal Pickup and EasyPay

Apple has released a new version (4.2) of its Apple Store app, and it’s now available for download from the App Store.
The update brings two important features: Personal Pickup and EasyPay. The former lets you buy something in the app and pick up your order at any Apple Retail Store. The feature is only available in the U.S. and Apple claims “most in-stock orders are available for pickup within an hour.”
EasyPay makes your in-store purchases simpler by letting you scan the barcode of a product and complete the transaction in the app. It sounds like the future of shopping: you enter a store, select a gadget, pay with your phone, and walk away. But the feature has several limitations, and some of its aspects are unclear.
First of all, due to the limitations of the older iPhone models’ cameras, the feature only works on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Secondly, it can only be done with “select accessories.”
Most importantly, we’d like to know whether the feature will require any sort of assistance — receiving a printed receipt, for example — from Apple personnel. If the answer is yes, it defeats the purpose, and if the answer is no, it might make protection from theft a bit more challenging for Apple, with people simply walking out the store with a bunch of gadgets, without talking to an Apple employee first. We’ve asked Apple about the specifics involving EasyPay and are waiting for their answer.
The app also lets you track current and previous orders, and brings support for Canada and China.
The app requires iOS 4.2 or higher. Unfortunately for iPad owners, Apple Store is still not optimized for that device, meaning it will work as an up-scaled version of the iPhone app.

Android Vs Symbian Operating System

This question is in many people’s mind that which one is the best : Android or Symbian ?

As we think according to its birth basis, android is the latest so we can say it will have all latest features so it is the best but at other end we also think that old is gold and become confused in between android and Symbian os.

Here is useful  comparison of both android and symbian operating systems :

1) OPERATING SOFTWARE or FIRMWARE

so if you got an symbian phone suppose an. s60v3 and now you want an s60v5 then all you can do is trash your old phone and buy a new s60v5 by spending cash.

but if you have an android phone with suppose an 1.6 android version running and you want to upgrade to 2.1 android version then all you have to do is do a software upgrade through your phone or by using a computer and as soon as the upgrade is finished you have your 1.6 replaced by 2.1 giving you new added features and some new user interface, no need of wasting your money on buying new cell phones

2). FLASHING Your phone with new FIRMWARE

If you are a SYMBIAN user and hate the looks of your phones menu style then you have 2 options to change those looks

a – install a new theme for your phone or

b – flash your. phone with new firmware or rom by using a computer

now everybody knows this is a risky procedure and if anything goes wrong your phone will be dead

but if you are an ANDROID user and want to do the same then you have 3 options

a) – either install new theme

b) – either install new menu launcher

c) – flash your phone with new custom firmware

you will need to download a new firmware or rom from internet. and flash it using your phone only by just using the RECOVERY MENU of your phone and if anything goes wrong and your phone is dead then you can actually get back your phone in working condition from the recovery menu itself

it’s as simple as clicking the button. and everything in your phone will be like before nothing ever happened and all this can be don't from your phone itself no need of looking at the computer.

3) – CHANGING PHONE FEATURES

if u use a. SYMBIAN phone and want to change the way how your menu looks. the way how your gallery looks and how your videos. and music library looks and how your notes and documents and messages, mms, and phone book looks the way your browser and file manager looks.

then you can download and install new applications available out there and use them for the purpose but that will take all your precious phone memory and also will not act. as your. default. application. if you don’t want this to happen then you. can find a custom firmware for your phone that satisfy all your needs and flash it but that’s risky as we saw before

but in an android. you can actually do little tweaks and treaks. by removing your default file browser and downloading. and installing new file browser. that’s it no risky stuff no memory eaten by an extra useless application that you don’t need. and the new downloaded application act as your default. application

4) PROCESSOR and its SPEED

Now processor is very important to run high end applications, in a Symbian phone you cannot see what speed your processor runs on

In an android there are some applications. that not only gives you look of your processor speed. but also can help you control it and help you save your battery by going to minimum speed or help you run high end applications on your. phone smoothly by going to maximum speed.

not only that you can overclock. Your processor

like my phone processor is 512mhz. and its max speed

but i overclocked it to 712mhz. now I have smoother phone

d)- money spent on phone

take a NOKIA 5800xm phone and now take a. NOKIA N8

check out the difference

u got bigger screen, bigger processor, good camera that’s it rest is same like same menu view, same file browser and messaging and call log browser

same application can be downloaded and just higher graphics in THE N8 and same. WiFi and 3g and gps

but i think i can actually do with NOKIA 5800 rather then buying expensive n8.

(5) MODIFICATIONS

Symbian phones does not allow users to do modifications with their phones
but why if you bought the phone its yours, its not nokia's phone anymore

android people say its your phone now so go ahead and do anything you want.
