Truth Behind CON Folder, "Bush hid the facts", etc in Microsoft Windows !!

Before reading this post, I recommend U to read Things that MICROSOFT could'nt explain about Windows !! which is already published long back ago.
Bill Gates is not such a person who doesnt even know about his own Oprating system.....

Explanation for the MAGIC #1 is:
Found that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the Computer which can be named as "CON". Not only "CON", u cannot even create the file names with these names AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9..... !!
The main reason of this is because In MS-DOS, several special "device files" were available to aid in performing certain tasks, such as clearing the screen or deleting extraneous output from a program. In order to maintain backwards-compatibility, all versions of Windows up to and including Windows 7 will refuse to allow you to create a file with these "reserved" device file names.


Explanation for the MAGIC #2 is:
It is true that, when the phrase "Bush hid the facts" is typed into the Windows XP or Windows NT/2000 versions of Notepad as instructed above, the re-opened file displays an unreadable line of squares or Chinese style characters.

The first image below shows the text before closing the Notepad file. The second image shows the text as it is displayed after the file is re-opened:

Some of the more wide-eyed conspiracy theorists postulate that this result is a form of political commentary directed against US President Bush.

Alas, the truth is far less compelling. It appears that a lot of other character strings in the pattern 4 letters, 3 letters, 3 letters and 5 letters will give the same result. For example, the phrase "Bill fed the goats" also displays the garbled text as shown below:

In fact, even a line of text such as "hhhh hhh hhh hhhhh" will elicit the same results.

However, some character strings that fit the "4,3,3,5" pattern do not generate the error. For example, the phrase "Bush hid the truth" is displayed normally. However, conspiracy theorists should not take this as aiding their argument. "Fred led the brats", "brad ate the trees" and other strings also escape the error.

Thus, any hint of political conspiracy fades into oblivion and is replaced by a rather mundane programming bug. It seems that a certain combination and/or frequency of letters in the character string cause Notepad to misinterpret the encoding of the file when it is re-opened. If the file is originally saved as "Unicode" rather than "ANSI" the text displays correctly. Older versions of Notepad such as those that came with Windows 95, 98 or ME do not include Unicode support so the error does not occur.

Explanation for the MAGIC #3 is:
Using the rand() function in the way described automatically adds sample text to a word document. In Word 2003 and earlier versions, the rand() function adds several sentences and paragraphs that repeat the words, The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. These words are often used for testing because, together, they contain all the letters in the English alphabet in one concise and coherent sentence. Such a sentence is known as a pangram.

In Word 2007, the rand() function adds information about using specific Word features in order to create a more realistic document for testing. However, if you wish to use the "Quick Brown Fox" pangram in Word 2007, you can still do so by inputting the function =rand.old(). Another Word 2007 option is to use =lorem(), This function automatically adds the familiar Lorem Ipsum dummy text that has been used by the printing and typesetting industry since the 1500's. Nowadays, Lorem ipsum text is also used extensively by web developers and publishers to add random text to such things as templates and website prototypes.

You can alter the results of the rand() function by adding numbers in the round brackets. The first number controls the number of paragraphs while the second number controls the number of sentences in each paragraph. For example, using "rand(3,5)" will add three paragraphs of five sentences each. Leaving the brackets empty will add the default number of paragraphs and sentences, which is set at three sentences and three paragraphs.

Far from being a mystery, this is a well-documented feature of Microsoft Word that simply allows sample text to be quickly added to a document for testing purposes. Microsoft can in fact "explain the result" and does so in an article on the MS Support Website.

Q33N is not a flight number......
those are the symbols that come in the wingdings font... for 3 that symbol comes, which you are saying is a building... But i must tell you, that symbol represents a page and not a building.


There are no mysteries about this issue, it might have saved user confusion if Windows displayed an explanatory error message when attempting to create a folder with a reserved name as well.

A 22 Year old boy runs upto Rs 42 lakh phone bill for one Month

The Badlapur police have arrested Rishikesh Shukla, 22, who fraudulently procured a BSNL WLL (Wireless Local Loop) connection and made international calls worth Rs 42,52,480.
Shukla is a native of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and currently lives in Kalyan Kolsewadi. Sunil Manjhi, BSNL 

            

        Officer, Kalyan division, said, “While applying for a BSNL WLL connection, Shukla had submitted a copy of his PAN card, a copy of his house agreement and address proof, so we allotted him a connection on September 14.”  Shukla paid the bill for the period September 14 to October 14 and then applied for an ISD call facility, for which he deposited Rs 3,000 with BSNL. From November 3 to November 23, he made several international calls, for which BSNL sent him a bill of Rs 42,52,480.

Manjhi said, “These bills kept returning to us with the tag ‘person not staying at the above address’. Our staff then visited the address. But, upon checking records, we found that the person had given us forged documents. So, the department decided to take the help of the Badlapur police who traced Shukla to Kalyan Kolsewadi and arrested him.”

PI Vijay Bagal, Badlapur police station, said, “We were surprised when the BSNL officer came to lodge such a complaint, because we wondered how they gave a connection in the first place without verifying documents. They should have done some verification while allotting him the international call facility. Now, the police have written to BSNL for details of the calls made by the accused.”

Police said Shukla has been pursuing a diploma in mechanical engineering for the past six years and is currently unemployed.

The first change is that 'See More' button will be changed to 'Continue Reading' for extra large posts ;)
That means, for large posts u will be seeying "see more" as usual, but for EXTRA LARGE POSTS, u will be seeying "continue reading" ;)

We also discussed about the problems in facebook profiles, etc.....
They also agreed that facebook is facing some problems such as "If we open some Images it will be coming that CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE" nd even also facebook messages are not going to one person to other...... they said that these problems are mainly due to heavy load on facebook !! they also promised that they r going to fix these problems as soon as possible !!
Dislike Feature in Facebook :
Many of our Blog readers has mailed about Dislike Feature in Facebook !!
So we also discussed about 'Dislike' Feature in Facebook......
For example, if we like ny pic, we will click on Like..... But if we Dosnt like it ? There is no Dislike feature in facebook till now !! So some users will like the pic if he like's it, nd he does the same thing evn if he dont like it also ;)

Many of them are most interested in Dislike feature in Facebook !! Facebook engineers said us that Due to dislike feature there will be some controversies in some cases, nd also in Facebook Pages, etc. For this reason there they had not kept Dislike feature till now !!
Regarding this feature, Facebook engineers said that they should have a meet among the board of directors...... And if all of them are in the favour of Dislike feature then they may keep that feature !! As many of the Facebook users are favour to the Dislike Feature, they may agree for this..........
So Facebook will be totally changed by this !! U may get a Dislike feature so soon !! :) :)
For some user, u may get a link that "Get your Dislike button Here". Dont clik on that, thats a Spam !! and that is also a type of Facebook hacking. Be carefull about this... Facebook never sends u a msg about "Dislike" !! It changes without informing facebook users !! ;) :)

Facebook is trying to launch Subscribe button for wesites. The Vice president and managing director of Facebook Joanna Shields announced in the program Le Web in paris on Wednesday.
Many of them can get a doubt that what is the difference between Liking And Subscribing ?
Liking belongs to any facebook page.... i.e Only if the Page admin posts anything on the wall, then u will get that in your News Feed !! Subscribe for websites means u can get any updates from that website to your News Feed. Ex: Blog Posts in Blogger, Wordpress, etc !!
 It is not currently known which organisations will use the button or when it will launch.....

Enable new GOOGLE BAR before release.....!!

First Post in the month of December...... :)
Before we had posted "A simple method to get the Youtube  new design before official release". Now Youtube's new design was officially released and many of the users are experiencing it....
Google is changing all its features in its websites like Youtube, Blogger, G+, Gmail and now finally it came to GOOGLE bar.

Google is going to release Google Bar, which allows you the ease of access... Just when u place mouse
on the "Google" at the top of the page, it will show some options like "gmail, News, Maps, etc 

U used to get these options in the top of the google or any other google related sites without this google bar !!
Now it has just kept all the options in a single icon !!
We are going to post you now "How to get this google bar before official release" !!
1) Firefox users download Cookies Manager+, and Chrome users Just download Edit This Cookie Extensions respectively.
2) Open google.com or any of the google property.
3) Right click on any empty spot in that page an select "Edit site preferences".
4)  Naviate to the cookies tab. ((In Google chrome after right clikc you will get "Edit Cookies" option directly, Click on that).
5) Opera users have to perfom additional task of making browser agent as Firefox (From the network tab), because google unfairly blocks opera from having navigation to the new navigation bar.
6) Once you have figured out how to edit cookie values in your browser, change the following cookies to the specified values and refresh your page to see the new Google Bar.
